A US District Judge in Arizona, Michael Liburdi, issued an order on May 5, preventing Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes and the Arizona Department of Gaming from continuing the criminal case against Kalshi. The ruling determined that Kalshi is subject to CFTC regulation, thereby preventing the state from pursuing gambling-related charges.
