Carlos Cordeiro, a senior advisor to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, has resigned from his position amidst FIFA’s plans to sell off its competitions, a move that has faced opposition from 143 association members. The proposal includes selling rights to tournaments like the World Cup, aiming to secure additional financial backing. However, UEFA is contemplating an alternative plan of boycotting the upcoming World Cup as a response.
