Kalshi agreed to fully shut down its operations in Nevada after admitting that people in the state were still able to access its event contracts despite a court order to geoblock the state.
Kalshi has reached an agreement with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) to cease its operations in Nevada. This decision came after the platform acknowledged that individuals in the state could still participate in its event contracts, contrary to a court-mandated geoblocking requirement.
The NGCB had previously issued a directive for Kalshi to restrict access to its services in Nevada. Following discussions, Kalshi opted to comply with the regulatory order and terminate its operations in the state.
