Australians have long had the unwanted tag of being the world’s biggest losers in gambling. New research now estimates that more than 15% of the population, over 3.3 million, are experiencing some kind of gambling harm.

Roy Morgan, Australia’s largest independent research company, disclosed the findings of a recent survey indicating that a significant portion of the population is affected by gambling-related harm. The study sheds light on the pervasive issue of gambling harm in the country, emphasizing the need for effective interventions and support systems to address this concern.
