Rhode Island will soon expand its online sports betting market after the Rhode Island Lottery awarded Bally’s Corporation a tentative five-year license to operate a second digital sportsbook in the state.
The decision marks the end of Rhode Island’s single-operator online betting system that has been in place since mobile wagering was introduced in 2019. Bally's, which already runs the state’s in-person sportsbook, will now offer an additional online betting option to customers.
