The Gambling Commission has introduced a new licence condition to remove non-compliant gaming machines from UK premises.
The UK Gambling Commission is enhancing its oversight of land-based gambling licences with the implementation of Licence Condition 18.1.1, effective from 29 July 2026. This new condition mandates all non-remote gambling operators to withdraw any gaming machines that the Commission has identified as non-compliant. The move aims to ensure that only compliant gaming machines are available in licensed UK premises, aligning with the Commission's commitment to maintaining a fair and safe gambling environment.
